New CFK class?
If you troll over the Hunger Games post, I responded to someone's post about books/movies by saying we could make a CFK class called Books That Were Turned Into Movies: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. We could talk about the differences, which was better (the book or the movie) and why, why the directors/screenplay writers make so many changes, etc. Then Rod said we could make trailers advertising them. Whatcha think?

ReplyDeleteThat would be. If we take books that haven't been made into movies yet and make trailers, that would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think that sounds like an awesome class. I would totally sign up. Because there are some terrible bookss gone movies **cough**cough*** **the Lightning Thief***
ReplyDeleteIt would totally be good to dicuss the stuff with other people.

ReplyDeleteUnderstanding Old English
ReplyDeleteI really want to understand books that were written before we lost a lot of the English language.
I was supposed to take Understanding Shakespeare but it was cancelled.
SKITTLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(oh i thought he was saying a random word.... then i read back... oh well)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Rod :D fencing maybe? or simply sparring... that would be AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE OLD ENGLISH. But do you mean OLD English, or Shakespeare's English? Old English looks like this: Het þa hyssa hwæne hors forlætan,
ReplyDeletefeor afysan, and forð gangan,
hicgan to handum and to hige godum.
(I had to copy and paste to get the right characters from: http://catterall.net/OE/texts/a9.html. It's one of my favorite OE poems.)
Shakespeare's English is technically Modern English, believe it or not.
i agree w/ rod too. A swordplay class would be awesome!!
ReplyDeletewhat is that supposed to mean?
ReplyDeleteThere are a bunch of words in Shakespearean English that we still use today?
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. Such as: oh, yes. =)
ReplyDeletewoah...
ReplyDeleteWoAhHhHhHhH thats wierdddd
ReplyDeleteWell yeah I do mean Shakespeare's "modern" english. But i do know that a lot of words used in his time are not used anymore. So to understand that part of it would be AWESOME!!
